This book written by the well-known Russian specialist on mathematical modeling, professor, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Boris Chetverushkin is devoted to a new class of algorithms in computational gas dynamics.
The approach is based on kinetic models for one-particle distribution function. The resulting systems of equations are used for direct numerical simulation of complex viscous gas flows. Most of the algorithms are explicit and they provide simple and efficient parallel implementation. The application of the technique to modeling various up-to-date problems of fluid dynamics on high-performance multiprocessor systems is demonstrated.
