Evolutionary and Deterministic Methods for Design, Optimization and Control

This book contains selected papers presented at the ECCOMAS Conference on Evolutionary and Deterministic Methods for Design, Optimimzation and Control with Applications to Industrial and Societal Problems-EUROGEN 2009 held in Cracow, June 15-17, 2009.
The aim of EUROGEN 2009 was to bring together specialists form universities, research institutions and industries who are developing or applying computational intelligence techniques and other methods of optimization with a emphasis on industrial, societal and bioengineering applications.
The contents of these EUROGEN 2009 proceeding focus on the technology currently involved in the field of multidisciplinary design and control, aimed at solving new challenges of computational science. Practical design engineers and researchers benefited also from the conference presentations on existing of recently developed software tools that are rapidly becoming available to industry
