This volume presents a collection of survey articles and research articles in Combustion Theory and various areas of Fluid Mechanics and Applied Mathematics, including turbulence, waves and interfaces, electrohydrodynamics, kinetic equations, and singular perturbation. It was prepared on the occasion of the 70th birthday of Amable Liñán to celebrate his influence as a teacher, researcher, and mentor. Hopefully the book will provide a cross section of Amables most representative interests and some samples of his style of approaching and solving problems.
